The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project schedules across multiple phases and disciplines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the project progresses on time and within budget by overseeing scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing key project metrics. The engineer acts as a strategic advisor to the project management team for all planning and time-related issues.Key Responsibilities:Develop, update, and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.Lead planning efforts for large-scale infrastructure and building projects from pre-construction to handover.Monitor and analyze project progress and provide reports on performance and forecasting.Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery plans.Prepare baseline programs, lookahead schedules, and progress S-curves.Coordinate with project stakeholders including design, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.Ensure alignment between project schedule and cost control systems.Provide delay analysis and support for EOT (Extension of Time) claims and contractual requirements.Lead regular planning and coordination meetings and present schedule updates.Mentor junior planning engineers and assist in developing team capabilities.
